1st Grade Readers

First graders did a design challenge around the story of Stellaluna for our reading and writing unit. They solved the problem of creating a place where both Stellaluna and the birds could live together comfortably. Students came up with so many different prototypes like creating two nests next to each other, one upside down and one right side up, so that both the birds and Stellaluna could sleep comfortably.
