I'm thrilled to work with you and your kiddos for another year at Columbine. This is my 18th year in education: my third as the principal of Columbine. Throughout my career, I've had the pleasure of being a classroom teacher (10yrs), an instructional coach at the district level, an assistant principal, and a principal (5 years).

On a personal level, I have three children of my own that keep my husband and me very busy! Kiera is in 7th grade,, Kyren is in 5th grade, and Soren is in 2nd grade. My husband, Niels, is a process engineer who works in Golden. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with my family, going to my childrens' sporting events, playing games (I'm a sucker for a good board game or jigsaw puzzle), and reading.

As we embark on this new academic year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all the parents and guardians who entrust us with their children's education. It is my utmost privilege to be a part of this wonderful community of students, teachers, and parents.
